I do not treat children and adolescents

I would like to emphasize, that I do not treat children and adolescent. My German specialist training did not include child and adolescent psychiatry. I understand the unmet demand for child and adolescent psychiatrists. This is a worldwide problem with patients waiting weeks for an appointment in Western countries.

I heard from my patients that I was advertised by a clinic as a psychiatrist who diagnoses and treats underage adolescents. I would like to emphasize, that I do not. If such patients show up, I refer them to other specialists. The only exemption are patients who will turn 18 years old soon.
